Browsers block reading other sites’ responses, so this check runs on our server: it requests only the URL you enter (plus any redirects), reads headers only, never downloads the page body, and doesn’t log the URL. Only public http/https hosts on ports 80/443 are allowed; private, internal and cloud-metadata addresses are refused. Rate-limited to 20 checks per minute. Results reflect what our server sees, which may differ from what a CDN shows you.

FAQ

Why can’t you check localhost or my intranet?

For security the checker only connects to public internet addresses. Use curl -I on your own machine for internal URLs.

Why do I see different headers in my browser?

CDNs vary responses by location, user-agent, cookies and compression. We send a plain request from our server with no cookies.
