About

Write SEO title and meta description with live pixel-width checks, then copy a ready <head> snippet with robots, canonical, Open Graph and X tags.

How to use it

  1. 1Type your page title and meta description. The bars show estimated pixel width against Google’s limits.
  2. 2Add the canonical URL and choose robots settings.
  3. 3Fill in the share image and site name for Open Graph and X cards.
  4. 4Copy the generated HTML into your page’s <head>.
You give
Title, description, canonical URL, robots options, social image and site details
You get
Copy-ready HTML meta tags
Good to know
Pixel widths are estimates (Arial at Google’s font sizes). Google can rewrite titles and descriptions regardless. Tags only help if they are in the server-rendered HTML; many social crawlers don’t run JavaScript.

FAQ

How long should a title tag be?

Google truncates by pixel width, not characters: roughly 600 px on desktop, which is usually 50–60 characters. Put the most important words first so a cut-off doesn’t lose them.

Do I need a robots meta tag?

Not usually. Index and follow are the defaults, so the tool only adds a robots tag when you change something, like noindex or max-image-preview:large.

Do meta keywords still matter?

No. Google has ignored the keywords meta tag for over a decade, so it isn’t included.
