What it does

When installed, the agent treats launching a paid advertising campaign as a careful, staged process. By default it only drafts a plan: the exact objects to create, budgets, dates, targeting, assets, tracking checks, a rollback path and an audit record. It refuses to draft if key details such as budget ceilings, conversion goals or measurement are missing. Pushing a campaign live is a separate step that requires the operation to be enabled, a fresh check of the account state, and explicit approval of that exact plan.

Great for

  • Marketing teams who want a checklist-driven, reviewable process before spending money on ads
  • Developers building or testing ad-management automation who want approval gates and rollback built in
  • Agencies that need an audit trail of every change made to client ad accounts

Skip it if

  • People who want a one-line instruction to launch ads immediately, since the skill is designed to slow down and require approval (a fully automatic launch is not its purpose)
  • Anyone without a configured Claude Ads setup and ad platform access, since the skill depends on validated setup profiles and platform adapters that the SKILL.md alone does not provide
  • Situations where ad spend is at risk and the platform adapters have not been independently tested, because the skill blocks apply in that case but a misconfigured adapter could still cause real spending changes

Try asking

  • “Draft a launch plan for a new spring sale campaign with a $500 daily budget and conversion tracking”
  • “Show me the mutation plan and rollback steps before we activate the retargeting campaign”
  • “Check whether this campaign is ready to go live and list any missing budget, tracking or policy items”
  • “Apply the approved launch plan for the Q3 campaign to the live account”

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    ads-launch.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip ads-launch.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip ads-launch.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Always start with the default draft mode and review the proposed objects, budget ceilings and rollback steps before approving anything.
  • Make sure budget ceilings, conversion events and destination tracking are defined up front, since missing items block the plan.
  • Approve only the exact plan you reviewed; if account state changes, the skill requires a fresh check before applying.
