About
Generate hreflang link tags or sitemap entries for multilingual sites with language and region pickers, x-default, and reciprocal return-link checks.
How to use it
- 1Add each language/region version and its URL.
- 2Set an x-default fallback page.
- 3Copy the <link> tags onto every version, or use the sitemap format.
- 4Use “Validate return links” to paste each page’s tags and catch missing reciprocals.
- You give
- Language/region codes and URLs, or existing hreflang tags from several pages
- You get
- hreflang <link> tags or XML sitemap, plus validation issues
- Good to know
- Validates ISO 639-1 language and ISO 3166-1 region codes (plus script subtags like zh-Hant). It doesn’t fetch your pages, so return-link checks use the tags you paste.

FAQ
Why is en-UK wrong?
Region codes are ISO 3166-1 country codes, and the UK’s is GB. Use en-GB. Google ignores invalid codes.
What are return links?
If page A lists page B as an alternate, page B must list page A too. Without that confirmation Google may ignore the pair.
