What it does

This skill gives an AI agent a step-by-step recipe for checking attendance on a Google Meet meeting. Once installed, the agent can list recent conference records, pull the participants for a chosen conference, and then fetch each participant's session times to show who joined and for how long. It works by running the gws command-line tool, which talks to Google's Meet API on your behalf.

Great for

  • Meeting organisers who want a record of who actually attended a recorded or hosted Meet call
  • Team leads checking participation in training sessions or interviews
  • Admins reviewing call attendance across recent conferences

Skip it if

  • Anyone without access to the Google Workspace account that hosted the meeting, since the API only returns data the signed-in account can see
  • Situations needing a live view of who is in a call right now, because the skill reads past records
  • Use on other people's meetings without authorisation, as attendance data about individuals may be sensitive personal data

Try asking

  • “Show me who attended my Meet conference from yesterday and how long each person stayed”
  • “List my recent Google Meet conferences and their participants”
  • “Get the session times for each participant in the last team sync”

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the Apache-2.0 licence and an attribution note.

    recipe-review-meet-participants.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip recipe-review-meet-participants.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip recipe-review-meet-participants.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Run the first step to find the correct CONFERENCE_ID before filling in the participant and session commands
  • Ask the agent to present results as a table, since the recipe uses table output
  • Make sure gws is authenticated with the correct Workspace account before running the steps
