What it does
Once installed, when you ask for a "receipts" or usage report, the agent reads the session history Claude Code already saved on your machine (in ~/.claude/projects), cross-checks it against your local git history, and writes a markdown report plus a styled HTML page to your home directory. It summarizes sessions, prompts, active days, files touched, and roughly how much of your usage went to each project, so you can show what Claude Code has been used for. Most of the processing is a local script; the only model call is one final write-up.
Great for
- Developers who need to justify Claude Code usage or spend to a manager
- People preparing a self-review or performance check-in
- Anyone curious what they have been using Claude Code for over the past week, month, or year
Skip it if
- Users who do not want local transcript files read, even locally, since the script scans every session in the window (reason: privacy of past prompts and project paths)
- Teams wanting an aggregated organisation-wide report, since it only covers one machine's sessions (reason: it is per-developer)
- Anyone expecting exact cost or commit attribution, since spend is estimated per project and commit matching is approximate (reason: the file states these are modelled, not measured)
Try asking
- “/receipts month”
- “/receipts quarter for anthropic”
- “Generate my Claude Code impact report for the last 30 days”
- “Show my Claude Code activity this year as a receipt”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Start with a short window like "week" to check the output and runtime before running a year-long report.
- Use a project name after the period (e.g. "for anthropic") to scope totals to one repository.
- Treat the spend percentages and commit counts as approximate indicators rather than audited figures when sharing with a manager.
