What it does
This skill lets an AI agent manage who is allowed to talk to it through a Discord channel. It can show the current status, approve or deny pairing codes from people who messaged the bot, add or remove allowed user IDs, set whether direct messages need pairing, and configure group channels and small delivery settings. The agent does this by reading and editing a single settings file on your computer rather than contacting Discord directly. It also refuses to make these access changes when a request arrives from a chat message instead of from you in the terminal.
Great for
- Developers who run a Discord bot connected to Claude Code and need to control who can reach it
- People setting up a new Discord channel who want to pair their own account safely
- Admins who need to review pending pairing requests and clean up the allowlist
Skip it if
- People who are not running a Discord channel integration, since the skill only edits that channel's access file
- Anyone wanting to approve access based on a message from Discord itself, because the skill is designed to refuse that to prevent prompt injection
- Shared or production bots where a mistaken allowlist edit could expose the agent to unwanted users; review changes carefully
Try asking
- “/discord:access”
- “/discord:access pair 4f9a2c”
- “/discord:access policy allowlist”
- “/discord:access group add 123456789012345678 --no-mention”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Run approval commands yourself in the terminal, not by asking the agent to approve someone from a Discord message.
- Always provide the exact pairing code; the skill will list pending entries and ask rather than guess.
- Check status after changes to confirm the allowlist and pending entries look as expected.
