What it does
Once installed, the agent can search a public aggregator of software, data and engineering job postings collected from about 50 job-board platforms and many countries. You can ask by keyword, region, country, seniority, skill or how recently a job was posted, and the agent gets back structured results including the full job description. It can also look up one specific posting by its freehire slug.
Great for
- Software engineers and data or ML professionals looking for remote or overseas tech roles
- Recruiters or career coaches who want a quick scan of current tech openings in a given market
- Developers building or self-hosting a job-search workflow who want a structured job data source
Skip it if
- Non-technical job searches, since the skill's filtering is tuned for tech roles and non-tech coverage is still maturing
- Anything needing guaranteed uptime, because freehire.me is a personal project run on a best-effort basis with no SLA
- Applying to jobs automatically or handling private accounts, since the skill only reads public listings and needs no login
Try asking
- “Find remote Go or Rust developer jobs posted in the last 7 days”
- “Are there any senior data engineer jobs in the EU or UK?”
- “Search for "title:staff engineer OR title:principal engineer" roles in Europe and summarise the requirements”
- “Look up the freehire posting with this slug and show me the full description”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Keep --limit modest and use --no-description for a cheap discovery pass, then fetch only shortlisted jobs with detail
- Use uppercase OR for synonyms instead of space-separated keywords, since plain spaces narrow results rather than broaden them
- Use --region for macro-regions and --country for single countries; note that --region us matches nothing
