What it does

When you want to share the same idea on several social networks, this skill makes the agent rewrite the content for each platform's style instead of pasting identical text everywhere. It starts from your strongest source (a post, article, launch note or changelog), reuses your author voice, and adjusts length, structure and tone per platform. It also returns a short note explaining the changes and any publishing constraints you still need to handle.

Great for

  • Creators who publish the same launch or essay on X, LinkedIn, Threads and Bluesky
  • Founders or marketers who want platform-appropriate versions without rewriting from scratch
  • Writers who want to avoid copy-pasting identical posts across networks

Skip it if

  • Fully automated posting: the skill only drafts text and does not publish to any platform by itself, so it is not useful if you need hands-off scheduling
  • Content that must be legally or medically precise without human review, because the agent may paraphrase claims in ways you did not intend

Try asking

  • “Adapt this launch note into an X post, a LinkedIn post and a Threads post”
  • “Turn my blog article summary into a Bluesky post and an X thread, keeping my voice”
  • “Cross-post this changelog to X and LinkedIn without hashtags”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Cross-Platform Post AdapterInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    crosspost.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip crosspost.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip crosspost.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Provide the strongest original version (your own post or article) so the agent has real source material to adapt
  • Mention which platforms you want and any length or tone limits so the output matches your plan
  • Review the output for claims that were not in your source, since the skill is designed to avoid invented CTAs but you should still check
