What it does
When installed, the agent inspects a code repository (its files, package manifests, configs and CI setup) and sorts the ECC toolkit components into two groups: DAILY items that should load every session, and LIBRARY items kept available but not loaded by default. It then produces an install plan and verification report, backed by evidence such as file counts, lockfiles and imports rather than guesses. It can also optionally create a searchable router skill for the library items.
Great for
- Teams that find the full ECC bundle too noisy for a project that only uses part of its stack
- Developers who want a repeatable, evidence-based decision on which ECC components to keep
- Maintainers cleaning up a repo that has accumulated the wrong language rules or hooks
Skip it if
- People who want to install the whole ECC bundle as-is, since this skill is designed to trim it (the outcome may not match their expectations)
- Non-developers or repos with no clear stack, because the classification depends on reading the codebase and may produce weak results
- Running it unreviewed on production repos: it proposes changes to installed files and hooks, which should be checked before applying
Try asking
- “Trim ECC to only what this TypeScript and Next.js repo needs”
- “Build an evidence-backed ECC install plan for this Python Django project”
- “Sort ECC skills, rules and hooks into daily and library buckets for our team repo”
- “Clean up stale language rules and incompatible hooks in this codebase”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Run it from the root of the target repo so the evidence commands read the real codebase
- Review the proposed DAILY and LIBRARY lists before applying the install plan, especially removals
- Use the optional skill-library router if you want LIBRARY items to stay searchable without loading them
