What it does

When a project only needs part of the ECC toolkit, this skill makes the agent inspect the repository (file types, package manager files, CI and hook configs, test and build scripts) and sort every ECC component into two buckets: DAILY (load every session) and LIBRARY (keep accessible but not loaded by default). The result is a written install plan with the evidence for each decision, plus a verification report. It is written in Japanese and is designed to prefer ECC's own mechanisms over inventing a second install system.

Great for

  • Developers whose repository uses only a few languages or frameworks and who want a leaner ECC setup
  • Teams that want install decisions backed by grep and file evidence rather than manual guesswork
  • People maintaining an ECC setup that has drifted to the wrong language rules or hooks

Skip it if

  • Repositories that already work fine with the full ECC bundle; the process adds effort without clear benefit
  • Non-developers or anyone without access to the repository files, since the skill depends on inspecting the codebase
  • Users who expect it to delete files automatically; the skill's own rules say LIBRARY means keep accessible, not delete, but the plan may still recommend removals that need human review

Try asking

  • “Analyse this repo and tell me which ECC skills and rules I should keep loaded daily”
  • “Trim my ECC install to only the TypeScript and Next.js components this project uses”
  • “Build a library router so rarely used ECC skills stay searchable but are not loaded every session”
  • “Check whether my ECC hooks are compatible with this repository and list any that should be removed”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Agent Sort (ECC install trimmer)Install, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    agent-sort.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip agent-sort.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip agent-sort.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Run it from the root of the target repository so the evidence (package.json, lockfiles, pyproject.toml and similar) is read from the correct place
  • Review the proposed DAILY and LIBRARY lists before applying the install plan, especially any suggested removals
  • Ask for the Japanese output format if your team works in Japanese, since the skill's instructions are written in Japanese
