What it does
This is a setup recipe for NanoClaw, an open-source personal AI agent framework. Once applied, it copies a Webex messaging adapter into the project, registers it, installs its package, and runs a test. You then create a Webex bot, paste its token and a webhook secret when prompted, and the agent can chat with you and your team in Webex spaces (group rooms or direct messages).
Great for
- Developers running NanoClaw who want their agent reachable from Cisco Webex
- Teams that already use Webex and want an agent in a shared space with clear isolation per team
Skip it if
- People who do not run NanoClaw: the skill edits its source tree and depends on its channel barrel and CLI commands
- Setups where a public webhook endpoint is not acceptable, since Webex can only deliver messages to a publicly reachable URL, which exposes port 3000 to the internet
Try asking
- “Add Webex as a channel to my NanoClaw install”
- “Connect my NanoClaw agent to a Webex bot and test the integration”
- “Set up the Webex webhook and store the bot token in .env”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Use a dedicated Webex bot and a strong, unique webhook secret, and keep the secret and bot token out of version control
- Start with a single test space, confirm messages flow end to end, then wire other spaces to separate agent groups for teams with sensitive information
- If sends fail with 401, check you copied the bot's Bot Access Token rather than a short-lived personal token from the API docs
