What it does

Once installed, the agent can compare a web page's accessibility problems between two versions, such as your uncommitted local changes against the last commit or against another branch. It reports new accessibility violations your changes introduced, violations that were fixed, and the count of older problems that remain. It is designed to report only and should not edit your code; a separate audit procedure is needed if you ask for fixes.

Great for

  • Front-end developers checking whether a change added accessibility regressions before merging
  • Teams reviewing a pull request's effect on a page's accessibility
  • Designers or QA staff who want a before-and-after comparison of a live page

Skip it if

  • Full accessibility certification or legal compliance sign-off, because it only covers exercised pages, states and automated rules, and manual WCAG checks are separate (use expert review instead)
  • Projects where the agent cannot safely run local servers or browsers, since the procedure starts isolated servers and browser sessions
  • Situations expecting a one-command audit with no setup, because the skill bundles neither the CLI nor the browser and relies on the user's installed tooling

Try asking

  • “Compare accessibility issues on http://localhost:3000/ between my uncommitted changes and main”
  • “Diff the accessibility violations of the checkout page against the feature-login branch”
  • “Show me which accessibility problems my last commit introduced and which it fixed”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Accessibility Diff CheckerInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    accesslint-diff.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip accesslint-diff.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip accesslint-diff.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Specify the page URL, the base (for example main or a commit SHA) and whether to include uncommitted changes, so the comparison is clearly scoped.
  • Use the scan mode described in the skill's gotchas when you want a full audit of one snapshot instead of a diff.
  • Review the manual checks and inaccessible states the report lists separately, since automated results alone do not prove accessibility.
