What it does

When installed, the agent follows a structured accessibility review method: it confirms the WCAG edition and level, runs automated scans, then checks keyboard use, screen-reader behaviour, focus order and colour contrast by hand. It maps each barrier to a WCAG criterion with severity and user impact, proposes remediation, and re-tests after fixes. It is explicit that automated scans alone do not prove conformance and that untested parts stay marked as open.

Great for

  • Front-end developers preparing a WCAG 2.2 review of a web app before release
  • Product or design teams who need a prioritised list of accessibility barriers
  • Teams gathering compliance evidence for stakeholders or procurement

Skip it if

  • General visual design critique with no accessibility goal (the skill says it is out of scope)
  • Auditing sites or accounts you are not authorised to test, since it expects an authorised test environment
  • Legal certification: its output is not a substitute for expert or environment-specific review

Try asking

  • “Audit keyboard use in our checkout staging flow against WCAG 2.2 AA”
  • “Review our signup page for focus visibility and form label problems”
  • “Map the screen-reader barriers in our onboarding journey to WCAG criteria and rank them by severity”
  • “Plan a re-test after we fix the contrast issues on the dashboard”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Accessibility AuditInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 2 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    accessibility-compliance-accessibility-audit.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip accessibility-compliance-accessibility-audit.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip accessibility-compliance-accessibility-audit.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • State the WCAG version and level (for example 2.2 AA) and the exact URLs or states up front, so the audit has a defined scope.
  • Ask for the list of manual checks left pending and perform them with a screen reader and keyboard before relying on the result.
  • Re-run the failed interactions after each fix rather than relying on a single clean scan.
