About
Generate random v4 or time-ordered v7 UUIDs, up to 1,000 at once, in upper case, without hyphens or with braces, and inspect any UUID.
How to use it
- 1Choose v4 (random) or v7 (time-ordered).
- 2Set how many you need (1–1000) and click Generate.
- 3Toggle uppercase, hyphens or braces.
- 4Copy or download the list, or paste a UUID below to inspect it.
- You give
- A version, a count and formatting options
- You get
- One or more UUIDs, plus version/timestamp details for any pasted UUID
- Good to know

FAQ
Should I use UUID v4 or v7?
v4 for general unique IDs. v7 for database primary keys: they sort by creation time, so indexes stay compact and inserts are faster.
Can two generated UUIDs collide?
Practically never. v4 has 122 random bits — you'd need to create billions per second for decades to expect a duplicate.
Is a GUID the same as a UUID?
Yes. GUID is Microsoft's name for the same 128-bit format; use the {braces} and uppercase options to match Windows-style GUIDs.
