About

Convert between comma, semicolon, tab, pipe or custom delimiters, with control over quoting and line endings.

How to use it

  1. 1Paste or drop your file — the current delimiter is auto-detected.
  2. 2Choose the target delimiter (or type a custom one).
  3. 3Pick a quoting style and line endings.
  4. 4Copy or download the converted file.
You give
Delimited text with any common separator
You get
The same data with a new delimiter (.csv, .tsv or .txt)
Good to know
“Never quote” can produce a file that won’t parse back if cells contain the delimiter; the tool warns you when that happens. Files up to roughly 50–100 MB work on a desktop browser (big files are streamed in chunks); phones may run out of memory sooner. The preview shows the first 200 rows, downloads include every row.

FAQ

Why does Excel open my CSV in one column?

In many European locales Excel expects semicolons because the comma is the decimal separator. Convert the file to semicolon-separated and it will open in columns.

Are quoted fields with commas handled?

Yes. The input is parsed properly (quotes, escaped quotes and line breaks inside cells), so values are never split in the wrong place.
