What it does
This skill teaches an AI agent how to refresh the code for channel and provider add-ons already installed in the NanoClaw project, usually after NanoClaw itself is updated. It checks that the git working tree is clean, runs a helper script to pull the latest versions of those add-ons, and only proceeds to build, test, and rebuild the container image if every selected add-on refreshed successfully. It explicitly does not re-run credential setup, edit the .env file, change wiring, or restart services.
Great for
- Maintainers of a NanoClaw install who have just pulled a new NanoClaw version
- Developers running a fork of NanoClaw who want installed channel or provider code kept current
- Users who want a strict, reportable result rather than a silent partial update
Skip it if
- Projects with uncommitted changes, since the skill stops on a dirty tree by design and mixing unrelated edits into a refresh is risky
- Anyone outside the NanoClaw project, because the helper script and paths only exist in that repository
- Users wanting to add a new channel or provider, since this only refreshes skills already installed
Try asking
- “Update my installed NanoClaw channels and providers after pulling the latest NanoClaw”
- “Refresh only the slack and opencode skills and show me the full report”
- “Check whether my installed channel code is stale and update it if it is”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Commit or stash your changes first, since the skill refuses to run on a dirty working tree
- Ask for a subset of skills by name if you only want to refresh specific channels or providers
- Review the changed files and the validation output in the summary before relying on the update; a restart is handled separately by the surrounding workflow or the operator
