What it does
When an agent has just worked out a multi-step process that is specific to your project and took real effort to figure out, this skill guides it to package that process as a reusable skill file. The agent checks whether the workflow is worth keeping (not generic documentation), then writes a draft with a name, triggers, ordered steps, success criteria, and pitfalls, saved to a set location so future sessions can reuse it instead of rediscovering it.
Great for
- Developers who repeatedly solve the same project-specific problem with an agent and want to stop re-deriving it
- Teams building a shared library of project conventions and debugging playbooks for OMC
- Users who want a structured way to save hard-won workflows as draft skills they can review and edit
Skip it if
- Capturing generic how-tos or library usage examples, which the skill itself says belong in ordinary documentation
- Quickly saving one-off fixes: the skill only targets workflows that are truly repeatable, so it adds overhead for small tasks
- Anyone expecting drafts to be production-ready without review, since the output is a draft that may encode incorrect assumptions from one session
Try asking
- “Skillify this deployment rollback procedure we just worked out for the staging cluster”
- “Turn the steps we used to debug the flaky payment webhook tests into a reusable project skill”
- “Capture this database migration workflow, including the pitfalls we hit, as a learned skill”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Review and edit the drafted skill file before committing it, since it reflects only what happened in one session
- Note unresolved branching decisions before asking for a draft, because the skill asks the agent to flag fuzzy points rather than guess
- Commit the skill file or copy it to a user-level directory, otherwise it stays local to the current worktree
