What it does
When an AI agent writes or edits documents that other agents will read, such as CLAUDE.md files, glossaries, specs, tickets, or skill files, this skill makes it follow a set of writing rules. The rules push for checkable conditions with stated reasons, numbered steps, one authoritative place for each rule, and no copied material that could go stale. The goal is that a new agent session with no prior chat history can act on the document just by reading it.
Great for
- Teams maintaining CLAUDE.md, specs, or shared agent instruction files in the oh-my-claudecode workflow
- Developers who want agent-facing documentation to stay accurate and non-redundant over time
- Anyone writing skill files that other agents will load
Skip it if
- Human-only documents such as business narrative, ADR decision stories, or onboarding READMEs, which the skill itself says are not held to this discipline (it is a style constraint, not a safety one)
- Projects that do not use the oh-my-claudecode surfaces or drydock/launch workflows, where the mandatory triggers will never apply and the rules may add unneeded process
Try asking
- “Rewrite this CLAUDE.md so a fresh agent session can act on it without asking me anything”
- “Draft a spec for the new export feature using the agent-doc discipline rules”
- “Clean up .omc/skills/ by removing stale or duplicated rules and keeping each rule's reason next to it”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Name the document you are editing and its audience up front so the skill can apply the agent-facing rules rather than the human-only exemption
- Expect the skill to delete stale or redundant lines during an edit; review those deletions, since it is told to remove them in the same edit
- The skill refers to surfaces like drydock and launch C5 sediment, which are defined outside this file; without that context, rely on the general writing rules
