What it does
This skill teaches an AI agent how to build a new skill for the GBrain project. A skill is a folder with a SKILL.md instruction file that tells an agent how to handle a certain kind of task. When installed, the agent follows a fixed process: it identifies a missing capability, checks existing skills so there is no overlap, writes a new SKILL.md in a standard template, and registers it in the project's manifest and routing files. It then runs a conformance test to verify the result.
Great for
- Maintainers of the GBrain repository who add new skills in the standard format
- Developers building their own skill library who want a consistent structure with contracts, phases and anti-patterns
Skip it if
- People who just want to use an existing skill; this one only helps write new skills
- Projects outside GBrain, since the manifest, resolver and conformance test paths are specific to that repository and will not exist elsewhere
- Anyone expecting it to work without the surrounding repository files, because it edits skills/manifest.json and skills/RESOLVER.md and runs bun test
Try asking
- “Create a skill for summarising meeting notes into action items”
- “New skill that drafts weekly status reports from my project pages”
- “Improve this skill so it handles missing input files more gracefully”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Give the agent a clear description of the capability and example trigger phrases so the MECE check and routing entry are accurate.
- Review the generated files and the manifest and resolver changes before committing, since the skill edits shared repository files.
- Run the conformance test yourself after the agent reports success.
