What it does

This skill lets an AI agent read website traffic reports from Matomo, a self-hosted or cloud web analytics tool that is often used as a privacy-focused alternative to Google Analytics. Once installed, the agent can run commands such as organic traffic, top pages, device, country, referrer and keyword reports, then summarise the results in tables. Get better results

  • Use a Matomo API token with only view access, not super-user access, to limit risk
  • For internal Matomo hosts, add the exact host:port to CLAUDE_SEO_LOCAL_TARGETS as the error message suggests rather than disabling any protection
  • Keyword data will often show many '(not provided)' entries because of browser privacy and anonymisation; this is expected
