What it does
Once installed, the agent evaluates a page or site for how likely AI search tools like Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini are to quote or cite it. It scores content on criteria such as self-contained answer blocks, heading structure, author and date signals, brand mentions, and whether AI crawlers can access the page in robots.txt. It then reports findings framed as ordinary SEO fundamentals, and notes where community advice conflicts with Google's own guidance.
Great for
- Website owners and SEO specialists who want to check AI search visibility of a page
- Content marketers reviewing articles for quotable, well-sourced structure
- Developers checking robots.txt rules for AI crawlers
Skip it if
- Anyone expecting guaranteed citations: the scores are heuristics, and several statistics in the file are third-party figures not re-verified by the authors
- Situations needing current platform facts without checking: the file says AI model and usage numbers change often
- Decisions to block or allow crawlers based solely on this report, since it does not account for a business's legal or licensing position
Try asking
- “Audit https://example.com/blog/pricing-guide for AI Overviews citability”
- “Check my robots.txt for GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot and Claude-SearchBot rules”
- “Suggest passage structure improvements for my product FAQ page to improve Perplexity citations”
- “Review this article for entity clarity and authority signals”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Provide a full URL so the agent can fetch the page and check robots.txt on that domain
- Ask the agent to note sources and dates for any statistics it quotes, since the file warns many figures are unverified
- Treat the scores as prompts for editorial review rather than a definitive ranking of your content
