What it does

When installed, the agent reads every system design document (GDD) in a game project at once and looks for problems that only appear when the systems are viewed together, such as contradictory rules, stale cross-references, dominant strategies, economy imbalance, cognitive overload, and drift away from the game's stated pillars. It produces a written review report with a PASS/CONCERNS/FAIL verdict and can save the report and flag affected documents. It is built for a specific multi-agent game studio setup and relies on several helper scripts and project files that are not included in this skill folder.

Great for

  • Game teams using the Claude Code Game Studios setup who have several approved GDDs and want a cross-system check before architecture work begins
  • Lead designers who revise one system mid-production and need to see what else it affects
  • Teams that want a consistency pass across documents rather than a single-document completeness check

Skip it if

  • Projects with only one design document, since the skill is built to review relationships between documents (use a single-document review instead)
  • Teams without the surrounding .claude hooks, scripts and docs folders, because the skill depends on them and will fail or behave unpredictably without them
  • Use as a final sign-off on design quality without human review, since its findings are generated by an AI and can be incomplete or wrong

Try asking

  • “Run a full review of all my game design documents for contradictions between systems”
  • “Check only consistency across my GDDs since the last review”
  • “Review the design theory of my game for dominant strategies and economic imbalance”
  • “Review the GDDs changed since the last review report and flag affected documents”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Review All Game Design DocsInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 8 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    review-all-gdds.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip review-all-gdds.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip review-all-gdds.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Approve the individual GDDs first, then run the full review, as the skill assumes each document has already passed a single-document check
  • Use the consistency or design-theory focus argument when you need a faster, narrower pass
  • Read the report's blocking items before the advisory ones and verify findings against the source documents
