What it does
Once installed, the agent can move an existing Google Calendar meeting to a new time and have Google send update notices to everyone invited. It works in three steps: find the meeting, read its details, then change its start and end times. It relies on the gws command-line tool and the gws-calendar skill to actually talk to your calendar, so it acts on your real account rather than just giving advice.
Great for
- People who often need to shift meetings and want the agent to handle the calendar edit and attendee notices
- Assistants or team leads managing other people's calendars through a configured gws setup
- Developers exploring how to script Google Calendar changes with the gws CLI
Skip it if
- Users who have not set up the gws CLI and Google authentication, since the skill cannot run without them
- Situations where you want to move a meeting quietly; the skill sends notifications to all attendees by design (sendUpdates set to all), so check the new time before running it
- Recurring events or invitations with many attendees where a single slot change could affect people unexpectedly, as the SKILL.md does not describe handling for these cases
Try asking
- “Move my 2pm meeting with the design team tomorrow to 4pm and tell everyone”
- “Reschedule the 'Q3 planning' event on Thursday to next Monday at 10am Eastern”
- “Find my meeting called 'Client sync' this week and push it back one hour”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Always confirm the event ID and the new time with the agent before it runs, since attendees will be notified immediately
- The example uses a fixed date and America/New_York time zone; state your own date and time zone explicitly in your request
- Check that the gws CLI is logged into the correct Google account before using it on shared or work calendars
