What it does
When installed, this skill makes the agent produce a careful written plan for a software task before doing any work. It drafts the plan, then has separate reviewer roles critique it (architecture and quality checks) and revises it in a loop of up to five rounds. The plan is marked as waiting for approval and the agent stops, so it does not edit files, commit, or run changes until you explicitly say to proceed. It is an alias for a planning command in the oh-my-claudecode toolkit.
Great for
- Developers who want a second-opinion style review of a plan before letting an agent write code
- Teams handling risky changes such as auth, migrations, or data deletion that benefit from a pre-mortem
- People already using the oh-my-claudecode toolkit who want a structured planning step
Skip it if
- Quick, simple edits where a full multi-round review adds time and cost without benefit
- Users without the oh-my-claudecode plugin installed, since this file only aliases other commands and its referenced skills are not included here
- Non-developers looking for general writing or research help, as the workflow is built around software tasks
Try asking
- “/oh-my-claudecode:ralplan "add rate limiting to the public API"”
- “/oh-my-claudecode:ralplan --deliberate "migrate user passwords to a new hashing scheme"”
- “/oh-my-claudecode:ralplan --interactive "refactor the billing module into separate services"”

Add it to your agent
Claude Code (all projects)
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip ralplan.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)
mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip ralplan.zip -d .claude/skills/Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Use --interactive if you want to review the draft and approve execution yourself rather than letting the loop finish unattended
- Add --deliberate for high-risk work to get a pre-mortem and expanded test plan
- Expect multiple reviewer passes, which uses more tokens and time than a single plan
