What it does

When installed, the agent can take a page from a personal knowledge base (called a "brain" here) and export it as a single HTML file. Internal details such as metadata, source citations, and internal links are removed, and by default the file is encrypted with a password so only people who have the password can read it. The agent then guides you on how to send the file and password through separate channels. The heavy lifting is done by the gbrain command-line tool, not by the language model.

Great for

  • Someone who keeps notes or research in a gbrain knowledge base and wants to send a briefing to an outside contact
  • Users who need a shareable, password-protected document without setting up a web server
  • Teams that already use gbrain and want an optional cloud upload path via Supabase storage

Skip it if

  • People who want to publish public web pages with no password: the skill defaults to encryption and makes public output an explicit opt-in, so this is not a general website tool
  • Anyone without gbrain installed: the skill only wraps the gbrain command, so it does nothing alone
  • Sharing highly sensitive content through the cloud path: signed URLs expire after one hour, and the skill notes that only the file and password are needed, but storage access and bucket setup still carry operational risk

Try asking

  • “Share this page with my accountant: brain/people/jane-doe.md”
  • “Publish page for the Acme deal memo with a password”
  • “Create shareable link for my Japan trip plan, no password”
  • “Give me a password-protected HTML version of the Acme company brief”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Publish Brain PagesInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    publish.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip publish.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip publish.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Let the publish command strip private data rather than copying markdown yourself, and send the password through a different channel than the link or file
  • Use --out to pick a clear output path, and re-run with the same path to update a published page
  • Confirm the page slug exists first; the skill says not to publish guessed pages
