What it does

When installed, the agent can produce a standard playtest report form for a game, covering session details, first impressions, pain points, bugs, feature feedback and a top-3 priority list. Given a path to raw tester notes, it fills in that form with structured findings, cross-checks them against design documents, and sorts them into design changes, balance adjustments, bugs and polish items with suggested next commands. It is written for a larger multi-agent game-studio setup and can save reports into a production folder after asking permission.

Great for

  • Game developers running structured playtest sessions who want consistent reports
  • Small game teams turning messy tester notes into prioritised action items
  • Studios using Claude Code with the same .claude folder conventions as this repository

Skip it if

  • Projects without the surrounding .claude docs, hooks and design files, since many steps refer to files that would be missing and the skill would give incomplete results
  • Teams that only need a blank form and do not want an agent involved (the template is simple to copy by hand)
  • Anyone expecting it to replace human judgement on fun or difficulty, as its director-review step is itself an AI assessment

Try asking

  • “Create a blank playtest report template for my next session”
  • “Analyze the notes at playtests/session-03-notes.txt and fill in the report”
  • “Analyze my tester notes with --review lean so the creative director review is skipped”
  • “Turn these raw playtest observations into a structured report and route the bugs and balance issues”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Playtest ReportInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    playtest-report.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip playtest-report.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip playtest-report.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Use the blank template mode first and share it with testers so notes arrive in a consistent shape
  • Pass --review lean or solo when you want faster reports without the creative director step
  • Expect to confirm each file write, since the skill asks before saving to production/qa/playtests
