What it does

Fuzzing means automatically feeding large numbers of malformed or random inputs to a program to find inputs that make it crash or misbehave. This skill gives the agent a structured playbook for doing that: picking a fuzzer such as AFL++ or libFuzzer, writing the test harness, building a seed corpus, running the campaign, and triaging the resulting crashes. The skill is written for offensive security work against targets like file parsers, network protocols, kernel drivers and EDR engines, so it leans toward finding exploitable bugs rather than only hardening code.

Great for

  • Security researchers preparing fuzz campaigns against parsers or protocol implementations
  • Developers who want a structured starting point for fuzzing their own C or C++ code with sanitizers
  • Students learning how coverage-guided fuzzing and crash triage fit together

Skip it if

  • Testing systems you do not own or have written authorization to test, since the skill is framed around attacking targets and running fuzzers can be disruptive or illegal without permission
  • Non-technical users wanting a point-and-click tool; the skill assumes command-line, compiler and debugger familiarity

Try asking

  • “Set up an AFL++ campaign against my PDF parser with a seed corpus and dictionary”
  • “Write a libFuzzer harness for this C++ JSON library with ASan enabled”
  • “Triage these crash files: minimize them, symbolize the stack traces and bucket duplicates”
  • “Plan a syzkaller configuration to fuzz ioctl handlers in a Linux driver”

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    offensive-fuzzing.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip offensive-fuzzing.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip offensive-fuzzing.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Only use it against code you own or are authorized to test, and state that scope in your request
  • Ask the agent to build the harness and run commands step by step so you can review each one before execution
  • Provide your own crash files and build outputs so the triage steps have real data to work with
