What it does

When installed, the agent gets reference knowledge and code templates for building NFTs (non-fungible tokens, unique digital items recorded on a blockchain). It can draft Solidity smart contracts for two common NFT standards, ERC-721 for one-of-a-kind items and ERC-1155 for mixed collections such as game items, and explain how to attach metadata (names, images, traits), add creator royalties, and plan minting. It does not run anything itself; it writes and explains code for a developer to review and deploy.

Great for

  • Developers starting a new NFT collection or game item contract
  • Teams wanting a starting template for minting, metadata and royalty logic
  • Learners who want to understand how ERC-721 and ERC-1155 differ

Skip it if

  • Deploying contracts to a live blockchain without an audit: the templates are examples, and smart-contract bugs can permanently lose funds
  • Non-developers expecting a finished, ready-to-launch NFT project: the code contains placeholders such as a fake IPFS hash and an unfinished SVG generator
  • Projects needing legal or financial advice on royalties, securities rules or sales

Try asking

  • “Write an ERC-721 contract for a 10,000-piece generative art collection with a mint price and max-per-transaction limit”
  • “Show me how to build an ERC-1155 contract for in-game swords, shields and potions with per-item supply caps”
  • “Explain how to add EIP-2981 royalties to my NFT contract and what the 500 basis points means”
  • “Draft off-chain JSON metadata with image and trait attributes for my NFT collection”

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 2 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    nft-standards.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip nft-standards.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip nft-standards.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Ask the agent to review the generated contract for security issues and then have a professional audit it before any mainnet deployment.
  • Test on a local or testnet chain first, and verify the Solidity version and OpenZeppelin version match your project, since the template uses older APIs such as Counters and _beforeTokenTransfer.
  • Replace placeholder values (IPFS hashes, contract names, prices, royalty recipient) with your own before use.
