What it does
This skill gives an AI agent a playbook for splitting a big job among several agents working together. Once installed, the agent can cut a complex task by layer, component, concern, or file ownership, arrange the pieces so independent work runs in parallel, and write task descriptions with objectives, owned files, requirements, interface contracts, acceptance criteria and out-of-scope items. It also explains how to spot workload imbalance and reassign tasks when a teammate is idle or overloaded.
Great for
- Developers coordinating multi-agent teams on feature builds or refactors
- Leads who want clear, non-overlapping task handoffs between agents
- Anyone planning parallel code reviews or audits split by concern
Skip it if
- Simple single-agent tasks, where splitting work adds overhead without benefit
- Non-technical users without an agent-teams setup, since the instructions reference task tools like TaskCreate, TaskUpdate and SendMessage that must exist in their environment
Try asking
- “Break down building a user login feature into parallel tasks for separate agents”
- “Design dependency relationships so the integration tests wait for the API and frontend tasks”
- “Write a task description with owned files and acceptance criteria for a backend teammate”
- “Review our task list and rebalance work because one agent is overloaded”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Give the agent your real file layout so the file-ownership split matches your codebase
- Ask for explicit acceptance criteria and out-of-scope items in every task description to avoid overlap
- Use the dependency guidance sparingly; only add blockers that are truly required
