What it does

When installed, the agent answers iOS interface questions and writes SwiftUI code using Apple's Human Interface Guidelines as its reference. It knows common patterns such as NavigationStack, TabView, adaptive grids, SF Symbols, Dynamic Type, semantic colors and materials, and accessibility modifiers, and it applies them to the screens you ask for. The skill is documentation and guidance only: it contains no scripts and does not connect to the internet.

Great for

  • iOS developers building SwiftUI screens who want consistent, platform-native layouts
  • Designers checking whether a mockup follows Apple's HIG conventions
  • Teams onboarding developers who are new to SwiftUI navigation and styling

Skip it if

  • Projects that do not target Apple platforms, since the guidance is specific to iOS, iPadOS and visionOS
  • Apps that must ship to production without review: code examples are generic snippets and can be wrong for a given iOS version, so they need compiling and testing on device
  • Teams needing a custom brand design system, since the skill pushes system defaults rather than bespoke styling

Try asking

  • “Build a SwiftUI settings screen with a List and sections that follows iOS HIG spacing and typography”
  • “Convert this UIKit table view into a SwiftUI NavigationStack with a detail view”
  • “Make this card component support Dynamic Type and Dark Mode in SwiftUI”
  • “Set up a TabView with three tabs and SF Symbol icons for an iPhone app”

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 4 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    mobile-ios-design.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip mobile-ios-design.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip mobile-ios-design.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Name your target iOS version, since the skill's examples mix iOS 16, 17 and 18 APIs and availability matters.
  • Ask the agent to check its SwiftUI code against the reference files for the specific component you are building.
  • Compile and test generated views on a real device or simulator, including VoiceOver and Dynamic Type, because the skill itself recommends device testing.
