What it does
This skill teaches an AI agent how to work inside NanoClaw's Iron Proxy, a gateway that sits between the agent and the internet. When the agent calls an external service such as GitHub, the proxy can insert the needed credential after a human approves it, so the agent never sees the real token and only gets a placeholder. The skill also tells the agent how to explain blocked requests (such as HTTP 403 errors), point the user to the operator console to set up access, and avoid bypassing the proxy or weakening certificate checks.
Great for
- Developers running NanoClaw agents who need the agent to call GitHub or other APIs without handing it raw tokens
- Operators who manage credential grants and destination rules for agent sessions
- Teams troubleshooting why an agent's outbound API requests are being blocked
Skip it if
- People who only want general coding help with no external accounts; the skill adds nothing there
- Setups without the Iron Proxy and NanoClaw environment, since the required proxy variables and CA certificate will not exist and the instructions will not work
- Anyone expecting one-click OAuth login; the skill says connection is handled through an operator console, and it is not an OAuth link
Try asking
- “Use gh to list my open pull requests on GitHub”
- “Why is my request to api.example.com returning 403? Help me diagnose it”
- “Connect my account for this API host so the agent can use it”
- “Set up the GitHub CLI for this session without storing a token”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Give the agent the exact API hostname you need so it can run the connection check correctly
- If a request is blocked, share the hostname and error message with your operator rather than pasting any token into the chat
- Verify access with a simple authenticated request after the operator confirms setup
