What it does
This skill teaches an AI agent to take material you give it (a meeting, an article, a video transcript, a message) and file it into a structured personal knowledge store called a 'brain'. The agent identifies people, companies and concepts, creates or updates a page for each notable one, adds dated timeline entries, links related pages together, and tags each fact with a source citation. It also acts as a router that hands specialised work to other ingestion skills.
Great for
- Developers building or maintaining a gbrain knowledge base who want consistent, cited notes
- People who regularly process meetings or reading and want entity pages updated automatically
- Teams experimenting with agent-maintained wikis that need provenance for every fact
Skip it if
- Anyone who wants a quick one-off summary with no files written: this skill writes pages and links into a store by design
- Sensitive or confidential material if the brain syncs to a remote service, since content and entity details are stored and may be pushed via gbrain sync
- Users who have not set up gbrain: the skill depends on its commands and folder conventions, so it will not work standalone
Try asking
- “Ingest this meeting transcript and update the people and companies involved”
- “Save this to brain: the article at the URL I just shared, with key arguments and sources”
- “Process this meeting notes file and add timeline entries for each decision”
- “Ingest this podcast transcript and file the ideas under concepts”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Read the referenced filing-rules file first and confirm the folder layout matches your brain before a big ingest
- Leave automatic capture off unless you deliberately want every message scanned and stored; the skill says it is off by default
- Review new entity pages after ingestion, since the notability gate is applied by the agent and may need your judgement
