What it does
When invoked, the agent walks through a multi-phase process to produce a master architecture document (docs/architecture/architecture.md) that turns approved game design documents into a technical blueprint covering system layers, module ownership, data flow, API boundaries, and architecture decision record (ADR) gaps. It checks decisions against a pinned game engine version and flags knowledge gaps, asking the user to approve each section before anything is written. The skill's behaviour is split across reference files that the agent reads phase by phase.
Great for
- Teams using the Claude Code Game Studios template who want a structured architecture document before sprint planning
- Developers building a game who need to map layers, module ownership and engine compatibility before implementation
- Leads who want ADR gaps identified systematically rather than discovered mid-production
Skip it if
- Recording a single design decision; the skill itself says to use /architecture-decision for point decisions instead
- Projects without approved design documents or a pinned engine, since the process depends on both and the reference files are not included in the provided files to confirm what happens without them
- Quick sketches where the multi-phase, approval-heavy process would be more overhead than value
Try asking
- “/create-architecture full”
- “/create-architecture layers”
- “/create-architecture adr-audit”
- “/create-architecture data-flow --review lean”

Add it to your agent
Claude Code (all projects)
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip create-architecture.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)
mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip create-architecture.zip -d .claude/skills/Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Run /architecture-decision for each required ADR the skill lists, starting with Foundation layer ADRs, and run /architecture-review afterwards to create the traceability registry
- Use the focus-area arguments (layers, data-flow, api-boundaries, adr-audit) to update one section rather than rerunning the whole walkthrough
- Review each drafted section carefully before approving, since the skill writes the document only once all sections are approved
