What it does
This skill lets an AI agent link your ChatGPT or Claude account and automatically pull your conversation history into a local knowledge store called the brain. It uses your logged-in browser session cookie to fetch conversations, syncs only new or changed ones after the first import, and can run on a daily schedule if you turn that on. Export files you download yourself are handled by a separate skill.
Great for
- Developers who already use the gbrain tool and want their past ChatGPT or Claude chats stored locally
- People who want ongoing, automatic backups of their AI conversations rather than one-off exports
- Users who are comfortable pasting a browser session cookie into a terminal
Skip it if
- Anyone uneasy about sharing a session cookie, since it grants access to the account and is a credential (use the official export file path instead)
- Perplexity users, because no live connector exists for it yet
- Users who want scheduled polling of their account to stay off, since automated requests to the provider are made once enabled and can trigger blocks or account issues
Try asking
- “Connect my ChatGPT account and sync my chat history into the brain”
- “Keep my conversations synced automatically every day”
- “Import a small sample of my Claude conversations first to check it works”
- “Check whether my ChatGPT auth cookie has expired and needs re-authentication”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Start with --dry-run and --limit 5 before a full import, as the skill recommends
- Hand the cookie over via stdin (for example pbpaste piped in) rather than pasting it into the chat, so it stays out of the conversation
- Leave auto_sync off unless you want daily automated requests to your account
