What it does

When you ask your agent to make a PDF from a saved brain page (a markdown note with a metadata header), this skill fetches the page, strips the metadata header, and runs a local PDF renderer to produce a formatted file with running headers and page numbers. The agent then sends the PDF back to you, along with a link to the original page. It does not create new content; it only formats an existing page.

Great for

  • People who keep notes or essays in the gbrain knowledge store and want portable PDF copies
  • Users who already have gstack installed and want to share a briefing or reading playbook as a PDF
  • Developers building a publishing workflow around brain pages

Skip it if

  • Anyone without gstack installed: the skill stops and cannot render, because the make-pdf binary is a required dependency
  • Sensitive pages shared by email or chat: the PDF is written to /tmp and sent through the agent's delivery channel, so check who receives it before sending
  • Formal board or print deliverables that need covers or tables of contents: those are off by default and must be requested explicitly, and the skill's output is not tuned for that

Try asking

  • “make pdf from brain: export my reading playbook page as a PDF”
  • “Convert brain page to pdf and send it to me on Telegram”
  • “Export brain page as a draft with a DRAFT watermark”
  • “Publish this page as pdf with a custom title and author”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Brain Page PDF RendererInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    brain-pdf.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip brain-pdf.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip brain-pdf.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Install gstack first and confirm the make-pdf binary is executable before asking for a PDF
  • Ask for a cover or table of contents only when you need a formal deliverable; the default is a clean layout
  • Check the recipient before sending, since the PDF is saved to /tmp and delivered through your chat or email channel
