What it does

When installed, the agent analyses your text or material, recommends a combination of one of 21 information layouts and one of 22 visual styles, and then produces a finished infographic image. Before generating, it writes the full image prompt to a file and normally asks you to confirm. It does not draw the image itself with code; it hands the prompt to an image generation backend available in your tool (such as Codex imagegen, Cursor's GenerateImage, or a separate image skill).

Great for

  • Someone who wants a dense visual summary of a report, article or dataset
  • Marketers or educators making shareable infographic images
  • Users already running Codex, Cursor or an image generation skill

Skip it if

  • Tasks needing editable vector or SVG output, since the skill explicitly forbids code-based rendering as a substitute (it may fail or ask instead)
  • Infographics with precise text or numbers that must be exact, because the skill forbids repairing text on generated images and AI image text can be wrong
  • Users without any image generation backend, who will be asked how to proceed

Try asking

  • “Create an infographic summarising this quarterly sales report”
  • “Make a visual summary of this research article as a tall infographic”
  • “信息图:把这份产品介绍做成高密度信息大图”
  • “Generate a comparison infographic of three project management tools in a bento-grid layout”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Infographic GeneratorInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 15 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    baoyu-infographic.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip baoyu-infographic.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip baoyu-infographic.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Specify the target aspect ratio and audience in your request so the chosen layout fits.
  • Review the saved prompt file under prompts/ before generation if you need reproducible results or want to switch backends.
  • Keep source text short or ask for fewer on-image labels, since text rendering in generated images can be imperfect.
