Align Recipe pyproject.toml
Checks and fixes a Python recipe's pyproject.toml to match Google's ADK recipe repo standards

What it does
When installed, the agent can check a Python sample recipe in the google/adk-recipes repository and bring its pyproject.toml (and sometimes manifest.yaml) into line with the repo's CI rules, such as Python 3.11 compatibility, correct project naming, no local ruff config, and a valid build-system block. It runs a script in a read-only dry-run mode first to report problems, and an apply mode that rewrites only the recipe's own files while trying to preserve comments. Some issues it only reports, because fixing them needs a human decision.
Great for
- Contributors preparing a recipe under core/, contrib/ or plugins/ for a pull request to google/adk-recipes
- Maintainers who want a quick report of what a recipe's pyproject.toml gets wrong before CI fails
Skip it if
- Migrating a recipe to a new google-adk major version: the skill explicitly does not do this, since it is a code migration that metadata edits cannot safely handle
- Projects outside this repo's conventions, where the rules (such as pinned Python 3.11 and required test files) would be wrong
Try asking
- “Run a dry-run on plugins/retail/product-search and tell me what needs aligning in its pyproject.toml”
- “Align this recipe's pyproject.toml with the repo standard before I open a PR”
- “Check whether my recipe's pyproject.toml declares a build-system block and fix the requires-python floor”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Always run the dry-run mode first and read the report before allowing apply mode to rewrite files
- Expect report-only results for build-system, stale Python version references and runnability test issues; these need manual edits
- Keep the recipe's Python version references in README and setup code in step with requires-python, since the skill does not edit prose automatically
