About

See a PDF's title, author, producer, dates, version and page sizes, then edit title, author, subject and keywords and save a new copy.

How to use it

  1. 1Choose a PDF.
  2. 2Review the document properties on the left.
  3. 3Edit title, author, subject or keywords (or clear them all).
  4. 4Click Save PDF and download the updated file.
You give
One PDF file (up to 100 MB)
You get
A property report and, if you edit, a PDF with updated metadata
Good to know
Works best with files under 100 MB (the upload cap); very large files depend on your device's memory. Viewing works for permission-locked PDFs, but editing doesn't. Only the document info fields are edited; the XMP metadata block can be removed (recommended) so apps don't show stale values. Custom metadata keys aren't shown.
Privacy
Processed on your device. Nothing is uploaded, stored or logged.

FAQ

Why does the PDF title matter?

Browsers show it in the tab instead of the file name, and search engines often use it as the result headline when the PDF is published online.

How do I remove personal details before sharing?

Click “Clear all fields”, keep “remove the XMP metadata block” ticked and save. Author and other info fields will be gone from the new copy.

What are Creator and Producer?

Creator is the app the document was written in (e.g. Word); Producer is the software that made the PDF. They're shown for reference.
