About

See hidden photo metadata — camera, date, serial numbers and GPS location — and strip it from one or many images before you share them.

How to use it

  1. 1Drop one or more photos.
  2. 2Review the metadata; GPS and other sensitive tags are highlighted.
  3. 3Click Remove metadata from all.
  4. 4Download each clean copy or all of them as a ZIP.
You give
JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC/TIFF (viewing), JPG/PNG/WebP/AVIF (removal)
You get
Metadata table and clean image copies without EXIF, GPS, XMP or IPTC
Good to know
Removal works by re-encoding the image through a canvas, which drops all metadata but recompresses JPG/WebP (use 95%+ quality to keep it visually identical). Orientation is baked into the pixels. HEIC/TIFF can be inspected but usually not re-encoded in the browser. Colour profiles are converted to sRGB.

FAQ

Do my photos really contain my location?

Photos from phones often include exact GPS coordinates. Many social networks strip them, but email, messaging apps and file sharing usually don't.

Does removing metadata reduce quality?

The image is re-saved, so JPG and WebP go through one more compression pass. At the default 95% quality the difference is invisible; PNG stays lossless.

What metadata is removed?

Everything stored outside the pixels: EXIF (camera, settings, dates), GPS, XMP, IPTC, maker notes and embedded thumbnails.
