You give
One PDF file (up to 100 MB)
You get
The same PDF with page numbers stamped on each page
Good to know
Works best with files under 100 MB (the upload cap); very large files depend on your device's memory. Numbers use the built-in Helvetica font, which covers Latin characters only. Numbers are placed upright even on rotated pages but may overlap existing content near the edges — increase the distance from the edge if so. Password-protected or permission-locked PDFs can't be edited: make an unlocked copy first (open it with the password and use Print → Save as PDF).

FAQ

What do {n} and {total} mean?

{n} is replaced by each page's number and {total} by the last number used. So "Page {n} of {total}" becomes "Page 3 of 12". You can type any text around them.

How do I leave the cover page unnumbered?

Tick “Don't number the first page”. Numbering then starts on page 2 with your chosen start number.

Can I continue numbering from another document?

Yes. Set “Start numbering at” to the next number, e.g. 25, and the pages will be numbered 25, 26, 27…
