What it does
This is the entry point for a suite of Chinese web-fiction writing helpers. When you ask for something like planning a long novel, analysing a published book, or checking a draft for consistency, it works out which specialised helper fits and hands the request off. It can also start a local dashboard in your browser so you can browse and edit your project's Markdown and text files, and it can report whether a newer release of the toolkit exists.
Great for
- Chinese web-novel authors who want one entry point for planning, drafting, reviewing and cover work
- Writers who keep a project folder of chapters, outlines and settings and want a local viewer for them
- People evaluating the oh-story toolkit before installing its full set of skills
Skip it if
- Users writing in other languages or genres, since the routing rules and keywords are written for Chinese web fiction
- Anyone expecting it to publish or post to platforms automatically; the files describe no such step
- Sensitive manuscripts on shared machines, because the dashboard serves local project files to any browser on the machine via a loopback address
Try asking
- “/story 我想写小说 (then it asks whether it is long or short form)”
- “/story dashboard to open the project workbench in my browser”
- “检查更新 to see whether a newer toolkit version is available”
- “记住我的写作习惯 to route to the author-preference manager”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Run /story-setup first in a new project, then start a new session so the writing helpers take effect.
- The dashboard binds to 127.0.0.1 by default; avoid adding --allow-network unless you understand the exposure.
- Ask for the update check explicitly; the skill reports versions and waits for your decision before installing anything.
