What it does
This skill lets an AI agent control a Chrome browser on your computer through the Chrome DevTools Protocol, so it can reuse the logins you already have there. Once installed, the agent can open URLs, wait for pages to load, run JavaScript on a page, take snapshots of clickable elements, click and type, and read values such as localStorage tokens or cookies. A bundled setup script copies your Chrome profile into a debug profile and starts Chrome with a debugging port, and it asks before closing any running Chrome windows.
Great for
- Developers who automate sites they are already logged into and want an agent to fetch pages behind a login
- Data collectors who need to scrape pages that require an authenticated browser session
- People comfortable reviewing shell commands and approving process shutdowns
Skip it if
- Anyone who does not want an agent reading login tokens or cookies from their browser, since the skill documents extracting auth tokens and reusing sessions
- Situations where unsaved browser work must not be interrupted, because the setup can close running Chrome processes after consent
- Shared or sensitive machines, since a copied profile and debug port expose your logged-in sessions to local processes
Try asking
- “Open my logged-in dashboard page and extract the text of the first 8000 characters”
- “Check whether the debug Chrome on port 9222 is ready before scraping the ranking page”
- “Take an interactive snapshot of this login-protected site and click the export button”
- “Reset my debug Chrome profile after my session expired, asking me to confirm first”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Run the detect-only step first so the agent knows whether Chrome is already running before any shutdown is considered
- Save your work in open Chrome tabs before approving a setup or reset, since unsaved drafts may be lost
- Prefer the default port and only close debug Chrome processes by PID, as the skill instructs
