What it does

This skill takes a finished contract review and rewrites it as a two-minute summary for a business colleague, such as procurement or a department head, who needs to know whether they can sign, what the catch is, and what they must do. It avoids legal jargon, keeps the summary under about 200 words, and checks whether the message is going to someone inside the legal privilege circle before adding privileged labels. It also refuses to claim a renewal tracker entry exists unless one has actually been created.

Skip it if

  • Replacing the underlying legal review: it only summarises a review that has already been done, and the output still needs lawyer judgement (reason: it can miss issues the review did not catch)
  • Sending privileged content to outside parties such as counterparties, vendors or public channels without checking the destination (reason: sharing can waive legal privilege)

Get better results

  • Make sure the review memo states whether it was run on the sales-side or purchasing-side playbook, so the summary uses the right voice.
  • Name the stakeholder and their role (e.g. procurement, finance) so the summary focuses on what they care about.
  • Before forwarding the output outside the legal team, remove the work-product header as the skill instructs and confirm the right marking for your jurisdiction.
