What it does
When you ask what happened in previous sessions, this skill tells the agent to call a memory tool (memory_sessions) for the current project and present the sessions it returns as a reverse-chronological timeline, with session id, start time, status, observation count and key highlights. It forbids the agent from inventing or filling in past work it does not actually have from the tool output, and it explains how to page through results and handle partial lists.
Great for
- Developers using agentmemory who want to review what was done on a project in earlier sessions
- Anyone returning to a project after a break and asking what was worked on last time
- Teams checking that an agent's recollection of past work matches the stored records
Skip it if
- Projects where the agentmemory memory tool is not installed or running, since the skill cannot produce a history without it
- Situations needing guaranteed completeness across very large histories, because the skill works on paged results and may show only a partial window
- Non-technical users looking for a general-purpose note or diary, since it only reports what the memory store has recorded
Try asking
- “What did we do last time on this project?”
- “Show me the session history for this repo”
- “Give me an overview of previous sessions”
- “List past sessions and their key decisions”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- If the timeline looks short, ask the agent to page further using the cursor so it can reach the requested count of 20 sessions
- Use the related recap skill for a date-grouped view or handoff to resume the latest session directly
- If memory_sessions is missing, check TROUBLESHOOTING.md in the skill folder before expecting results
