What it does

When you ask, the agent takes an existing HTML analytics report on your computer and converts it into a slide deck that a busy stakeholder can skim, with the headline, findings, charts, tables, caveats and recommendations kept intact. It runs a bundled Python helper that builds a PowerPoint file and quality checks, then imports that file into Google Slides through a Google Drive connector, checks the slide previews, and hands you the link.

Great for

  • Analysts who need to brief executives on a finished HTML report without rebuilding slides by hand
  • Teams that already have Google Workspace and use Google Slides for stakeholder decks
  • People who want editable native tables and text rather than screenshots of the report

Skip it if

  • Users who only have a PDF, a spreadsheet or a remote URL; the skill expects a local HTML file and tells the agent to create one first from other sources, which adds work and can drift from the original evidence
  • Sensitive or confidential reports, since the deck is uploaded to Google Drive through a connected account and the report content leaves your machine
  • Anyone without a Google Drive connector set up, because the import step depends on it

Try asking

  • “Convert /Users/me/reports/q3-channel-review.html into a Google Slides deck for Monday's leadership meeting”
  • “Turn this self-contained HTML analytics report into a native Google Slides presentation with charts and a caveats slide”
  • “Make a stakeholder deck from the attached HTML retention report and send me the Google Slides link”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Report to Google SlidesInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 2 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    report-to-google-slides.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip report-to-google-slides.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip report-to-google-slides.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Give the agent a self-contained HTML report with inline SVG charts; the skill works best when chart evidence is embedded rather than linked externally.
  • Review the Google Slides link before sharing, especially thumbnails of the caveats and sources slides, since the skill only inspects them for layout problems.
  • Ask for a specific audience or slide count in your request so the agent can tighten the copy accordingly.
