What it does
Once installed, the agent can take raw material such as Jira or Linear tickets, product requirement docs, Git logs, or internal changelogs and rewrite them as polished, customer-facing release notes. Technical jargon is replaced with plain benefit-focused language, and changes are sorted into New Features, Improvements, Bug Fixes, Breaking Changes, and Deprecations. The skill also gives example rewrites and a standard markdown layout, and it can adjust tone for B2B, consumer, or developer audiences.
Great for
- Product managers who need to announce a release to customers or users
- Developers or founders who want a changelog turned into readable updates
- Marketers preparing product announcements from internal documentation
Skip it if
- Teams that need exact, legally reviewed compliance or security disclosures, since the output is drafted by an AI and still needs human review
- Situations where the source tickets are missing or vague, because the agent may infer benefits that did not actually ship
Try asking
- “Write release notes for version 2.4 using these Jira tickets: [paste export]”
- “Turn this Git log into a customer-facing changelog for our API update”
- “Summarize what shipped this sprint from our Linear tickets as product announcements”
- “Create a friendly release announcement for consumers based on this PRD”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Paste the actual tickets or PRD text and state the audience and tone (for example, B2B or consumer) so the agent can match the voice.
- Review every benefit claim against what actually shipped, since the agent may overstate improvements such as speed gains.
- If you want a product URL considered, note that the skill mentions web search; check that the agent's search is enabled and the result is accurate.
