What it does
This skill teaches an AI agent to check how your Google search positions changed over time without a paid rank-tracking tool. It pulls your real position data from Google Search Console, compares a recent period with an earlier one (by default the last 28 days versus the 28 before), and sorts keywords into winners, losers, new and lost. It then gives a short summary and tables, and can optionally check live search results for your most important drops.
Great for
- Site owners or SEO staff who want to know what moved after a traffic change or Google update
- Marketers who already use Search Console and don't want to pay for a rank tracker
- People who want a recurring weekly ranking check that can be scheduled
Skip it if
- Tracking rankings for competitors or locations you don't own in Search Console, since the data only covers your own verified properties
- Decisions that need daily position snapshots, because Search Console data lags about two days and reflects only what Google actually served
Try asking
- “How are my rankings this month compared to last month?”
- “What moved in my keywords since the March update?”
- “Track my keywords and show me the biggest losers by clicks lost”
- “Did the recent update hit my pages?”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Name the event you care about (for example 'since the March update') so the agent splits the periods around that date.
- Ask for the user's verified domain explicitly if the account has several Search Console properties.
- For weekly tracking, ask the agent to set up a scheduled routine rather than running it by hand.
