What it does
When installed, the agent follows a senior PHP developer playbook: it uses strict typing, readonly value objects and DTOs, dependency injection, and PSR coding standards. For a typical feature it produces models, service classes, controllers, and PHPUnit or Pest tests, and it is told to run PHPStan at level 9 and check for 80%+ test coverage before delivering. It also loads reference notes on modern PHP features, Laravel, Symfony, async PHP (Swoole, ReactPHP) and testing.
Great for
- PHP developers building or maintaining Laravel or Symfony applications
- Teams that want consistent typed code and PHPStan/PHPUnit discipline from an AI assistant
- Developers scaffolding REST or GraphQL endpoints with typed DTOs
Skip it if
- Non-PHP projects, since the guidance is specific to PHP frameworks and tooling
- Anyone expecting the skill to run the checks itself: it only instructs the agent to run commands like phpstan and phpunit, which requires a working PHP project and its dependencies
- Security-critical code without expert review: the skill asserts security practices but the agent's output still needs human review
Try asking
- “Create a typed UserService and DTO for user registration in my Laravel app with tests”
- “Scaffold a REST API endpoint with validation for managing orders in Symfony”
- “Refactor this PHP class to use readonly properties, enums and strict types”
- “Write PHPUnit tests with mocks for my payment service”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Point the agent at your existing project so it can follow your framework version and directory layout
- Ask it to run phpstan and the test suite in your environment, and review the output yourself rather than trusting the claim that code is verified
- Name the specific framework (Laravel or Symfony) in your request so the right reference file is loaded
