What it does
Once installed, the agent acts as a board-level assistant for a Paperclip server, which is a control panel for a team of AI agents. You can ask in ordinary language to check the company dashboard, create a company, hire a CEO agent, approve or review requests, monitor tasks and spending, and keep a running decision log. The agent turns your requests into calls to the Paperclip web API and summarizes the results instead of showing raw data.
Great for
- Developers already running a local Paperclip server who want chat-based oversight
- Founders experimenting with multi-agent companies who want guided onboarding
- People who want a running decision log and budget check-ins for their agent team
Skip it if
- Anyone pointing this at a production Paperclip server without reviewing what it can change, since it can create agents, approve hires and modify company settings
- Users who do not already have a Paperclip instance; the skill only manages an existing server and cannot provide one
Try asking
- “Show me my Paperclip company dashboard and anything waiting for my approval”
- “Help me set up a new company with a $500 monthly budget and hire a CEO agent”
- “What has my team spent this month, and are any tasks blocked?”
- “Review the decision log and summarize what we decided last week”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Review approvals yourself before accepting them; the skill's instructions auto-approve the CEO hire during onboarding, so confirm the details first.
- Keep PAPERCLIP_API_URL pointed at a server you control and use an API key outside local development.
- Ask for a summary before any change, and check the budget figures the skill reports against your own limits.
